GIVE ME A BREAK!
what is a real fan?
if a fan takes fancam that makes them "最悪" or the WORST FAN IN THE WORLD.
there is no real definition for what a real fan is.
but i would hope that within the definition of what a real fan is one of definitions would be ...
that one understands the 心 the heart and emotions of another fan.
some of these fans from korea, japan, taiwan...
listen here and listen good.
there are MANY things that are illegal amongst the johnny's fan.
fancams...they are definitely illegal.
but those videos you download...
the scans you post...
they are just as illegal.
the tickets you buy from scalpers...those are illegal too.
but you know...if you live in one of those 3 countries...
you are given the privilege and gift to see these 5 boys.
you get goosebumps with the mere thought that they are breathing the same air as you.
you can enjoy the heat and excitement with your own body at their concert.
but there's another world beyond your own ignorant one.
there are fans elsewhere.
you think japan taiwan korean china are the only places there are fans?
there are fans in parts of this world that will never see arashi in concert.
there are fans that use these fancams to help them keep their dreams alive.
what the FUCK do any of YOU know what it feels like to be a fan that has absolutely NO access?
of course you don't know what it feels like.
so what if it took 2 years for arashi to returns...at least they returned.
some of us KNOW for a fact that they will NEVER come to us.
so unless you know how some of the overseas fans feel...
SHUT THE FUCK UP about copyright infringement when it comes to arashi material.
give me a fucking break.
you guys are fucking blessed...
what the hell do you know what it feel like not being able to see them?
you don't know HALF of it.
and the japanese fans... -.-;;;
how do you think they got so popular in korea or taiwan?
it's all illegal.
you know all the "すごい"ing you guys do when you see news reports on the TV..
i know that 99% of those fans know arashi through illegal ways.
i've seen fancams where ohno actually sees the person taking the fancam and points them out and laughs.
so give me a fucking break.
you want to report me?
then you better report all of fucking korea and taiwan too.
take a fucking step back and look at it from a different perspective.
maybe then you can talk about who the real fan is.
it takes a LOT more endurance to love people you may never see nor understand.
it takes a lot more pain and love to do this.
Comments
don't let them get to you~ (=
I agree with you.
I know that they dont allow it but those fans have no idea what's it like to only have something as precious as Arashi is to me to be only available in the internet. It's so HARD! But I love them, so I will probably continue this as long as I continue to care... It pisses me off how fans were all like,"You are hurting Arashi. Plz delete this or we will take legal action." I understand that Johnny needs the money but, chill, I will buy the DVD anyway. Anything that they will released, I buy just like other fans. It's not my fault that I cant watch them live or support them in their events like Japanese fans can. They really dont know how lucky they are to have a chance to see Arashi live and understand what they are saying. But then, Arashi is a blessing to me too, so in respect to them, let's just ignore those people and continue to spread the Arashi love.
I think it will only remain a dream for me to see Arashi live... T_T It's sad and it breaks my fangirl heart.
maybe you can lock your blog for neighour only again.
Those who said want to report you this & that I think they are just jealous
it's the risk of loving our fandom maybe
i'm on your side
ganbareee~ XDDD
i couldn't agree with you more. i say we should all stop being hypocritical and just share the love. enjoy the fandom.
like what you said, Arashi wouldn't be as insanely popular in these countries if not for everything shared over the internet (mostly illegal). I'm sure the boys/JE knows that too, but they just let fans be. they're not that stupid.
yapz..100% agree w/ u.. i.m on your side too..^^
i live in indonesia..so can tell how u fell..i know having arashi stuff with illegaly was wrong..but comeone.. cant blame me at it..
maybe 4 dvd's con or cd's i can buy it legall..but for all the tv show n their live show..??
do i have to move to japan just for watch they bangohan..??
i've actually come across couple of recent fancams and comments from taiwan telling them it's illegal.
it's a relief reading what you've wrote, almost like taking it off my check. thanks!
Why is everyone so uptight these days? Seriously.
You're right. People need to take a new perspective for those of us outside of Asia, and especially outside of Japan. Fancams won't hurt anyone. Johnny will release a DVD, and we'll all buy it, fancams or no. How does it hurt them at all? It only spreads the love.
i live in the US and god knows i watch alot of fancams until the DVD comes out and then i buy it! even if the fans that don't live near them or get to see them or anything are no different! international fans are supporting and loving just like japan.Korean, and Taiwan fans! is it wrong to to download and watch all their TV shows though what ever means just so i can feel close to them!!! how are we hurting them when all we are doing is spreading the love and sharing it with other people so more and more people can love them and support them! International fans need a break! we aren't any different! we just live far away!! =_=
i'm w/ u on this!
true fans who record r selfless and r thinking about us who can never (knock wood) see the boys in person. besides... who/what the heck they harm? neither u or other fans r selling these clips for profit.
so realli.. whoever is dissing u or about shared fancam (w/ no profit) should just the shit up.
i'm w/ u all the way girl!
i guess this happens when fans gets tt particular priviledge and kind of forgot that they used to be as desperate and are leechers themselves in the past...it sucks isn't it when some fans begin to think highly of themselves..urgh....
and the jap fans....urgh...i guess there are the good and the sheltered, narrow-minded ones...the good ones totally understand and like they are more amazed that the 'illegal' means have helped arashi be known throughout the world....
anw, i hope u dun get too worked up on this...they are so not worth it! rem how u enjoyed them in taiwan..anw, it wasgreat to know u in the brief moment ^ ^ hehe, can't wait to hear ur report for shanghai..wish i can go >_<)
It's really hard for us international fans to get our fandom needs, and I feel that the fans who are so righteous enough and report all of these illegal online activities will have their hands tied. There's too many of us, and it only shows that Arashi is international, and how huge their fanbase is getting.
I wouldn't have known about Arashi if it weren't for these "illegal" online acts. >.>
So kudos to you for saying how each and every one of us feels!
did they understand what our feelings not being able to watch Arashi here?did they know how arashi can be big just like now? did they know, even we share all things illegally we still buy the original online? did they know, all the arashi's thingy are far more expensive than the original price?did they know how hard we had to save our allowance just to spend our money to those things plus more than 30% tax? did they know we love arashi just like they did? did they know we're sharing not making business here?did they know they're being selfish?
to all those who said that, stop being selfish..it's not only you who make them as big as now.that's all with the help of the international fans who wrote bout them in the bloggies, share all arashi's stuffs, consistent effort to make others also be a fan of Arashi so we can see them in our own country..n again we shared not selling them..
plz..we're just like you guys, the fans of Arashi..
p/s: sorry denise for the long comments~~ m(-_-)m
some doesn't even know how others feels ne~ :D
Well.. i think that sooner or later people will have to get that internet and sharing info, pics and videos will never going back.
Sharing videos and pics in internet is a type of promotion, JE don't have any ideia how big they could become if they not flag as 'illegal' and explore this promotion.
I think that illegal is people who download and sell, making money over they production and image...
Sharing with friends, see videos at youtube.. come on??? How come this will affect they???? Only make they more famous... and make us want to have original things...
I'm Brazilian.. i don't have any hope that someday they will come to my country, to pay a trip to japan and go to a concert i have to work years... But i will, because i want to see them. Me and another hundred Brazilian fans, that only know they and love they but this 'illegal' methods...
People don't have nothing more to do... must be this..
report a fancam... U_U'' plz..
Thanks for telling us this, and please don't get worked up, its not worth it, take care =)
hahaha!! this is GOOD!!damn, i dont care about if its illegal or not as long as i get to see them! LOL thanks to those fancams/downloads i got to love arashi.
"some of us KNOW for a fact that they will NEVER come to us." so we got all the way to find them!
it was great meeting you at the con HAHA luckily you got here in time to find wen.
gambatte to all arashi fangirls!..*__*
that's so selfish of her! for most of us attending Arashi's concert has become a lifelong dream and it's not like we're NOT contributing to their sales!!!even with scans/ rips etc how many of us STILL order stuff on line etc? this person has NO IDEA how much we INVESTED on them... how sites like yesasia and hmv.jp raise the prices of what they usually pay but we don't care we buy it ANYWAYS! how we buy $100 dvd (CND) players just so we can WATCH their $60 dvds! or having to pay $16 for a magazine which only goes for 750 yen.
many would do anything just to be in the SAME country as them. so that person should just feel lucky and not step on the super kind fans who wish to share their love of Arashi with others. Sorry.... I didn't mean to rant so much in your comment....
For those who said it's illegal...c'mon! Stop being hypocrites!
POWER TO YOU, GIRL!
Thank you for speaking up your thoughts on this matter, I agree with you. I'm peruvian and it's hard as hell to get their goodies, way more expensive and it takes a lot of time for them to arrive; just imagining myself in a line to buy Arashi goodies in a con gets me excited. There are also fans who can't even afford their goodies, but still, love Arashi, work really hard to get at least something, and try to spread their awesomeness in many ways. So having all this commotion for a fancam it's really ridiculous, I can understand asking for credits, but considering taking legal action!? Then, why do they post the fancam at the internet to begin with? To brag about being there? *sighs* If you don't want your illegal stuff being shared then don't post it, it's simple as that.
It'd be great if there were more understanding fans out there in the fandom, really.
i was reprimanded before because i somehow posted some translations although i've included a credit to: label. and those were already old posts and there were no notice then that i need to ask permission to post to other sites. i don't even post translations and pics from others anymore when i became a regular of vox but those old posts were used against me. all i wanted was to meet arashi friends as well as share what i have of arashi but it seems that it's really not that easy.
i've been a fan of taiwan-f4 before but i have never experienced such things. being an arashi overseas fan now seemed really difficult. but i like the group and would follow their career whenever i can. they make me happy and i would continue to support them in my own way.
thanks for your post and gambatte for us!
I was lucky enough to attend this year's Taipei con but it sure wasn't easy and damned if it wasn't expensive.
Yes, i agree tooo, i'm thailand fan .... so far arashi , then, i try to "close up" arashi like all fan "BUT".... we not live the same contry with arashi..we "Wrong" !!..the answer in "no" ... i think the world is welcome to arashi because not..arashi go to play concert at overseas...but..because..the world call "internet" is open to arashi..all fan around the world..have a change to know them !!...yes,right youtube is my god !!...and i'm so thank you every japan fan to kindness and sharing information about arashi..
at last !...i think "arashi is alright !" looking at Single truth morethan 600,000 .. and one love morethan 500,000 and DVD Concert , Photo book bra bra bra... is in top 10 .. well ,.........the order is just from "japan , korea , taiwan" ???? .. asking with your true heart .... the answer is up to you.....!! but my answer is not..i'm the one who order any arashi performance with copyrigh .. but i can not go to see arashi concert or tv show in japan..you know what ? when i saw arashi Dream-A-live in May 31 at nagoya dome..i pay that trip morethan 200,000 Yen. ..that the situation about fangirl from overseas...TT___TT
Absolutely! You're totally right! Did anybody curse you for the cam thing?
Fuck them. In some point of view, I'm so blessed cause I've got chances to see them in my own country, but that blessed chances are all because of the people who are willing to share (or have shared) what they have like videos or fan cams or something like that. Without illegality, No Fans! Without Fans! No Johnny's Entertainment!!!
Who's pissing you off, dearie? Want me to go jump 'em?
for those who said it's illegal, can you say you NEVER download/watch a fancam/arashi related program through the internet?
if not, then just shut the fuck up
i'm on your side honey!
....waahhh....i so wanna see them if i ever get the chance....but can't
Hi my dear Arashi tomodachi ^_^
please take this matter easily. I understand how you feel right now. ~_~
I am sure many of us here got to know Arashi through such means too. I got to know Arashi through watching gokusen and therafter, researched more Arashi stuff in youtube and that's how my love for Arashi grew.
Don't care about those people say to you. Yes maybe you can keep your posts viewable by neighbourhood if this makes you feel better & safer. ^^
Those fans you've mentioned; I am sure that they also got to know overseas artistes (such as those in the U.S) through such illegal means too.
I mean, the internet is so widely used and there is no one to blame for such a thing.
And yes, i am sure JE and Arashi (being the internet savvy peole they are), they know that there are thousands of fanblogs. And i know youtube has been deleting arashi videos.... I don't know what to do if they actually find out such blogs like lj and vox.... are they going to report lj and vox about us as well ???
Actually, JE should be happy that there are so many caring OVERSEAS friends who have done so much and put in so much effort to spread Arashi love. We spend so much time spreading Arashi love and I really thank all the vid subbers and translators and everything! I love this overseas arashi fandom so much *hugs*
it's not that we do this for profit... we are just sharing arashi's love. And yes, without spreading Arashi's love, would arashi be that famous?? would we be tempted to buy arashi stuff if we havent known arashi through such mediums?????
just keep doing what you've used to do.
let's continue to support Arashi.
arashi should not restrict their concerts to just those three countries everytime... i am quite angry about this somehow.... really hope they visit more countries.
take care! *hugs*
i remember watching ohno's solo con fancam, and when he spotted the cam, he waves at it, and i freaked out cuz it feels like he's actually waving at me. in a way, i like watching fancams cuz i see the concerts through a fan's eyes. i'm still thankful for fancamers for giving us the chance to experience the concerts, cuz some of them, we definitely would not be able to see, right?
for me, of course we want to support them, but they have to realize that we had spent more money in buying just the CDs and DVDs alone. we all cant be impossibly rich just to buy merchandise or tickets even if we want it so badly. we still have life to take care of. how are we going to support them if we cant support ourselves?
The world is flat already and ARASHI (as well as the JE bosses) knows that too. I bet their all the more thankful, because of the technology and the internet, they've gotten more fans outside their island nation.
Those fans who threatens you should open up their minds. Arashi likes international fans too as much as they like fans from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
Anyway, I'm with you in this.
yeah, i agree with you.
japanese dont rly go overseas often to promote their stuff and the only way to KNOW and just CONTINUE our fandom is only thru the internet.
w/o these, we wldnt even know who arashi is.
it is a give and take situation. hopefully those fans can understand the feelings of those who do not stay in the area nor breathe the same air
I'm living in Hungary, which is 20000 km far form japan!! maybe less, but i doesn't matter this time!!!
Nearly all of my stuffs are illegal, but i don't mind!! as long as i can see them , i can hea them, i'll do evyrthing for those videos!!
and thanx for all of the girls, who upldate regulary.... it means me soo much!!
You're soooooooooooo right........ and it pisses me off too, eventho I'm not sure what happened.
Whoever did whatever to you is just amazingly selfish. If Arashi has so many fans overseas is thanks to the "illegal" things we have acces to. You think we wouldnt PAY for "legal" things if we could? Oh my GOSH, I'm spendin my money to go all the way to Japan so I can have a COUPLE of things for me. For the person that pissed you off: YOU REALLY KNOW NOTHING. And I pity those people that dont appreciate what they have. Honestly, I pity YOU coz I bet YOU wont love Arashi as much as us from overseas. They might never come to my country for a concert or w/e, but I assure YOU, I'm much closer to them in my heart them YOU will ever be.
PS: Just to make it clear, the YOU is for the person who is reporting you..
i understand your concern on that one..as a fangirl i understand our need to post and stuff.. its part of being a fan really. But i also understand the copyright that JE has on the videos and well..most everything else...i'm from overseas yes but not everyone buys pirated or illegal stuff. And yeah its true, all these posts are the reason why JE is now known all over the world...who knows? maybe they'll have a world tour next year...don't care which group as long as its JE...*prays hard* but one thing is sure..i will continue to support them! >_< ♥
You are my Herione. Seriously. Thank you for pointing this out. I was born and still live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. HELL I NEVER WILL SEE THEM!! I can't afford to fly over there to see them. Even if I could, the tickets would be sold out. I knew Arashi by faith. I bought a Amuro Namie Concert DVD (the copyed one not the real one, cause any International music or movies or drama etc etc are copied here. We simple can't afford to buy the REAL thing nor can the sellers afford to buy the real copy) and when I opened it, it was a said on the disc "ARASHI IZA NOW! Concert" . I watched it and I thought "hey their not bad" but I was stressed to think about them more. But then thats how it all started and I just love them (btw the Arashi dvd concert was copied too). Asia should be (mind my language but really I don't care) VERY VERY VERY VERY FUCKING GRATEFUL THEY HAVE All ACCES TO AT LEAST ONE CD FROM THEM AND HEY I THINK ITS THE REAL COPY TOO! I live in FUCKING CANADA!!!! I'm on the other side of the world!!!! Even if we do have acces to it, its only once in like what 1-2 years in the video store, COPIED!!If I could, I would REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE TO BUY EVERY CD, DVD WHATEVER THAT IS ARASHI THAT ARE ALL REAL!!! But I'm not rich. I promise myself when I have alot of money, I will buy every Arashi merchainse that are real!
Not all human beings are smart. there wil be a large percentage that are smart in the world but they will be some stupid, selfish and snobby ones too.
Its not just me but I have what? 78% of the population of Canada that knows and LIKES Arashi that are going the same thing as me!
Your awesome and your my herone!
I don't think that it's really something wrong to post Arashi stuff as long it's not for sale or used to some bad purpose...or it's only to show that something like this exist... If there won't be any 'spring' of Arashi infos probably fandom oversea will die!!!
Fans oversea do so much actions to make them to come to them countries spend much more money for even buy them CDs or DVD !!!! it's not cheap hobby!!! and we are not able to buy everything or catch Japan TV programs because we don't have japan channels or all cable TV is not even one japan channel!!! there is so much antistuff! that you have to be really persevering to be J-music band fan!!!
I even learn Japanese by myself because where I live is non Japan course!!! just to understand them!
ufffff .....So lets don't care about others and do whats we really love:P
I'm sorry you've had to go through this, but just know there are TONS of fans who are with you! Thank you for posting this.
You're absolutely right!!!
I mean so far, I haven't heard any complain from Arashi themselves on all these fancams/scans. Yah sure they ask us to support them through buying the originals, and most fans do that. Just as jasminity pointed out, those original stuffs take forever to be released, if they are released at all.
So we're all behind yah!
Thanks for venting the anger on behalf of us, the overseas fans.
You were there at their Taipei con right?
Remember the MC for day 1 when they asked if we all were learning Japanese, if we all were watching their shows (and aiba pointed out that means we have seen some of the more embarrassing stuffs like sho's nipples) and when they asked where did we watch, everyone just went ... "Abunai! Don't ask!" XD I think Nino even said something along the lines of being extra careful when watching them through such channels.
The boys definitely know for official things like albums, singles and dvds, overseas fans can more or less buy and they definitely acknowledge for unofficial things like knowing the latest happening that was only just shown on Japanese tv or spoken of in unfilmed concerts, we have our "backroom" connections. We won't know how much of those things the boys condoned since it is their lives' work but they know how to keep their mouth shut and eyes turn away so that their overseas fans can get at least a small piece of what the Japanese fans get. Plus without such means, we might never found out about them in the first place.
And for those fancams, I don't even know HOW those people film without getting excited because any thoughts of wanting to film gets thrown out the arena for me the moment I spot those 5 standing for REAL in front of me... Oh no!
Hello,
i can understand your anger adn personally i feel quite frustrated too. like many before me have mentioned, some fans get all and mighty sometimes and they forget how many on the same planet who also share and spread the Arashi love feel. the boys know i'm pretty sure. not only during the recent taipei con did they hint it, matsujun i remember from an interview in vegas said something along the lines of : well, we have the internet these days so i guess..... something like that and i mean all the items/products marketing is horrible by JE standards, i dunno know who exactly is the mastermind behind all the marketing (ok, its included - Johnny, his sis Mary and niece July) but honestly, do these ppl have brains? ok, being rude here. but anyone with a decent degree of intellect, should know that there are fans out there that support equally or more than Asian fans and they deserve to be treated well. frankly speaking, JE, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN SURVIVE TODAY IF NOT FOR THE INTERNATIONAL FANS AND THE INTERNET PLUS ONLINE TRANSLATION ETC?!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?! ok, was very angry but you know what i mean.
i mean nothing's perfect. Arashi doesn't have enough exposure outside Asia, Japan. If they need to 'create a storm around the world', what we are doing as some disgraceful ppl call 'illegal', is somewhat essential. no matter how much money Johnny has, to promote Arashi internationally and provide their products in multiple languages needs tonnes of money and since he has so much on his hands and seems unable to provide such financial requirements, why doesn't he just let us be? True fans, esp those outside Japan, need to know them first and this needs sometimes 'illegal' material but in the end, aren't we just all buying JE stuff and hurting our wallets and bank accounts and not regret it?
Sorry for the long rambling but note: you have me and numerous others behind your back despite many of us can't be physically there, oh well, i'll cut the long words.
just one last thing: i added you as a friend, would you mind adding me back?
thanks and take care *hugs* and *plays SMILE*
Watching HYD for the first time was illegal. Knowing Matsujun for the first time was illegal. Watching Arashi vids was illegal. Knowing the rest of Arashi for the first time was illegal. Knowing even more about all of Arashi was illegal. Watching them, listening to them, becoming their fan, everything was illegal.
But Arashi, I hope, won't be mad... because they have a tremendous lot of illegal fans from all over the world...
I totally agree with you! I live in El Salvador (a tiny country in Central America) so my chances to get Arashi goodies are very slim.
I got most of them online but i do buy some original stuff( when I have enough to pay more in shipping and handing that for the cd or dvd in question)
it's sad to see people hurting international fans just because we dont have the opportunities they have.
I haven't visited this site in such a long time. I'm really happy I came to look around :D
I completely agree with what you said (even if I may be commenting a little late). I lived in Tokyo for 1 year to teach English in a private school. Before leaving for Japan, all I knew about Arashi and Johnny's was done illegally. Sadly to say but it's true. When I was there, I did tell people I was a Johnny's fan. Everyone seemed really surprised but excited at the same time that a foreigner knew so much about Johnny's. Now, they know I can't understand Japanese, so obviously it's illegal ways. When I went to the Johnny's shop in Harajuku, I definately spent like over 4000 yen on pictures. I tried to buy any cds or dvds I did like. Japanese fans are lucky. I mean even when I lived there, I could have joined the fanclub, but let's be real, I can't read a single thing. How would I ever go to their concerts? I find out about their concerts near the time it's going to happen. Once I went to Yokohama and I noticed a lot of girls in the Arena. It was during an Arashi concert and everyone had their concert goods bags.
Anyways, I'm back in Canada now. I'm thankful for the online community or else I would not know anything about Johnny's or make me want to buy things. It is really hard for overseas fans to purchase anything and even if we do, the region may be different. I mean Tegomasu debuted in Sweden. I seriously wonder if they know how they are known in Sweden. It has to be illegally. Even if we buy goods after, the initial exposure is illegal (I'm pretty sure of that).
I don't get why a Japanese fan would single you out to accuse you of wrong doing. If they don't like it, maybe they should stop visiting your site or visit sites that have Arashi info, because really, I think any talk, pictures, video, audio clip sharing, is against JE rules. So they may as well stay in their own bubble of magazines, radio, jwebs, etc. to find out their news instead of searching the internet. I think in Japan, the entire sharing videos, audio, videogames, etc. is illegal. For me personally, I do see a difference between sharing to share a common interest and selling copies on the internet. Fansubs, people who put translations, they don't get money out of that. If they aren't making money themselves and putting time into it, they shoudl be thanked, not yelled at. Thanks for everything :D
Oh, so it was you? I'm so sorry. I was online and I saw that fancam and was so happy. Because I didn't get to go. I saw that person's response. In fact, I even sent them this: http://booksandsarcasm.livejournal.com/23624.html#cutid1
Through email since the video was taken off, but I never got a reply. Not sure if they didn't know english well or don't care. I know this is a late response. I'm sorry you had to go through this.
I think we fans not from Japan, Taiwan or Korea will definitely support Arashi when we can (i.e. if we visit Japan) only that while we can't we just have to have constant Arashi love, and that shouldn't be taken totally against us.
Cheers to your voice on this matter. :)
Don't let the "righteous" fans get to you, though. ^^
