ryo leaves news, toma replaces?! wtf?

i can't stop. i must continue on about this...bc no matter how long i think about...
i'm still mad nonetheless.
okay so i dont know if this is true or what...
but a NewS fan friend was crying and going crazy...
so i'm sort of like "EH?!"
but so it goes...
ryo will quit NewS as of 1/1/08
and startin 1/1/08 toma will replace NewS.
uchi will officially announce that he is quitting NewS...
will go back to kanjani in 04/08

that's what i heard in between sobs.
supposedly there is an article about this that was released today?
(wait the uchi stuff wasn't in the article)
i can't and will not go searching for it.
for all i know it's some fucked up uwasa mag...
anyway...now to include my thoughts aside from "omfg wtf fuck you no i hate this etc"
first off...there are two sides to the toma & ryo things.
we can be positive and thing 'ah better for ryo he's been so busy anyway.'
but then if you think of it from a FANS perspective...
if you were a NewS fan from the start...
i can't think how devastating it would be to lose a member...
and then toma...you could see it as "omg toma is finally debuting!"
or you can be like me and think...toma deserves more. he deserves SO MUCH MORE.
he deserves to come out with a single on the first day and see his name/group on the #1 spot
he deserves to start from a beginning...to have his own history.
not the history of some member he replaced.
not to mention there WILL BE FANS that are going to always think of him as a mere "replacement"
that is just WRONG for toma. WRONG.
i can see toma only taking this 2 ways...
thankful that he is debuting and lowering his standards for how much he's really worth bc he's that sweet...
or to go with it because he has no other choice.

they are a management company that manages idols..
if they are aware of the mentality of fans and and their idols...
they they will realize this is a mistake. this will do NOBODY any good.
whatever...i can sort of see them taking ryo out of news...and putting him in kanjani only.
but then why are you trying to replace him?
does johnny's think that they can take out 1 popular member...
stick toma and there and suddenly all the NewS fans will be appeased with the tomaPi love?

and dont get me wrong i dont really hate anyone in news...
if i had to choose i would pick news over kattun, anyday x:
to me that group seems to have a lot of...bad luck.
and from an outsiders point of view...it might be..
"they are better off breaking up."
but then i dont know...as a fan of another johnny's group...
i can understand how painful and insulting that would be to hear.
i would NEVER say that to my news friends...
bc they would never say that about arashi to me...if i were in their situation.
as a fellow fan you should know how they feel better than anyone else.
johnny's needs to need to learn how to push the not so popular members..
instead of relying on 1 or 2 members to bait in fans and then convert.
they should push with tegomasu...
do something with shige...
shige has so much potential to be a hottie icon
do something with the other members instead of trying to shove toma in there.
toma does NOT belong in this group.
toma belongs with...hasejun or something.
isn't it about time we have a new duo?

I really pity NEWS as a whole. They really are a good group but is just plagued with a lot of bad luck. Now Ryo is leaving, it's just so sad! And I feel Toma also deserves much better...it kind of sucks to be a replacement of somebody...But I really hope NEWS will pick up the pieces and move; they're my 2nd favourite group after Arashi!

when i read the previous post you had about this, i freaked out. i wholeheartedly admit that i am a NewS fan and i don't think that this is right equally for ryo and toma. and i am also a big ryo fan.. then i read some of the previous comments in your post that said "News would be better breaking off.." which is very very painful for me as a fan. and i said "why are some arashi fans being so mean to other JE groups' fans?" (i am not generalizing ALL arashi fans) but reading this new post of yours, i am thankful to you that you also take the side of NewS fans.

but still this news (or rumor) is making me feel so mad. NewS should remain as NewS with all the members of it till the end. and toma (who i love as well) should debut with a new group. he has proven a lot and has stayed as a junior for so many years, and it is very unfair for him to just be inserted in NewS... this is so wrong.

i'm glad you deleted the previous entry because it encourages NewS bashing. As a NewS fan, I can't stand it.

I don't like this anymore than any Toma fan does. I absolutely CANNOT imagine anyone leaving at all!!!!! And I agree that Johnny's need to develop the members in NewS. Keikei can totally host a programme, Shige can be the residential dorama hunk, TegoMass can continue with their food title singles and Pi, well he can continue to be Pi, what with the opportunities coming his way. And Kusa, can you please come back so that the number of people who can actually sing will be upped.

And Toma needs to debut with all the craze and hype. WTF. He's been in the jimusho for more than 10 years they CANNOT do this to him.

I DO think Ryo and Uchi belongs to K8 more than they ever will be in NewS. At least Ryo isn't mean to anyone in K8. lol But I hate it that the company think they can just switch members whenever they like.

is because ryo is the resident bitch of NewS :) it's his kansai attitude.
but then in kanjani...they all have kansai attitude and so now ryo cannot compete with like...hina. ahahha x: (i love kanjani)

i agree with the pushing of other members. especially with News. i always hear about yamashita and ryo. they're great and all, but seriously, theres some talented people in that group. i also think that shige is someone they should push. i've always liked him. honestly, this has to be a really awful rumor. the whole musical-idol chair thing is not sitting well with me. it's just all bad for everyone.
ah... toma though. really bad if he debuts with them. it just, just... just doesn't sit right! lol. i'm a fairly new fan and even I know it's bad decision-making on JE's part. it it ends up being true.

WTH?! They cannot be serious! I'm not a NewS or Toma fan, but this is just utterly unfair to both parties. Toma has so much potential, he deserves more than being a 'replacement' member in NewS. Debut Toma, of course, but don't just shove him in NewS! He deserves to be debuted in a new group, or even as a solo artist, but putting him in NewS would just be unfair to both Toma and NewS, and to their fans!

You are forgetting about Kazama. Kazama is a stellar actor. Even better than Toma. I've watched him perform in Akihabara@DEEP. Toma was wonderful as Box but Kazama.. he blew me away. Everybody kept forgetting about Kazama.... its kinda sad.

I've been a Toma fan as long as I am an Arashi fan.. any REAL Toma fan will say that he deserves SO MUCH BETTER

I agree with you. this is wrong. I admit I'm not much of a NewS fan or Toma fan... [I was actually introduced to JE because of Arashi] but whatever group it is, replacing a member is just.. wrong. They can't!!!! as you said, Toma deserves more. And what will NewS and their fans think? And the Toma fans too. They cant have the mentality that Toma is just a replacement.

oh gosh so this is official information then? not just a stupid rumour? i wish it was though. it's heartbreaking enough losing uchi and kusano. if we never see ryo's face among NewS members again...

but why? was it johnny's decision or did ryo say he wanted to quit NewS himself? and if uchi rejoins Kanjani8, will Kusano rejoin NewS?

Poor NewS. about Ryo, part of me think this is good since I still don`t know how in the world someone can be in 2 very popular Johnnys groups at the same time and not collapse yet. His schedule must be terrifying. But even now I can hear fan`s hearts are breaking all over the place.

I really hope the best solution for NewS, Kanjani and Toma-kun. Johnny-san, this is the time to show your miracle decision!!!

I'm not really a NewS fan, I just like Yamapi, so it's hard for me to relate there. But, thanks to Hana-Kimi I have just recently gotten into Toma (I actually didn't even know he was Johnny's!! eek! how exciting!)

yygall, i like ur opinion. i'm Arashi and NEWS fan, i just tired for all those specualtion about NEWS. what i dun like is ppl *specially K8 fans* keep blaming NEWS for "stealing Uchi and Ryo* its not their fault..and to break up NEWS its totally a huge mistake in my opinion, they didnt do anything wrong, they have a right to continue.

i always like Toma, i dun mind his joining NEWS but why dont JE put him in NEWS at the 1st place? i think he deserve more than this..i think he deserve to debuting with Kazama and Hasejun or maybe add some more ppl from Jr, many Jrs have talent for debuting! replacement sounds like...very mean to me..specially for Toma.

Wait and see for this and hope it's not true.......

I will believe it when JE makes an official announcement. We only hear parts of truths when rumours concerning JE are floating around. We will never really know the truth or reason behind any of their decisions until they announce it themselves. JE is so tightly knit I don't know if this kind of info would be leaked so early. I am thinking this is hard-core Uwasa for sure because it doesn't make sense to make Toma debut as a new member of NewS. Even though he should totally debut, it shouldn't be like this. He is the next big JE thing and he needs his own spotlight, not to be overshadowed by Pi or anyone (and I love Pi, he's my #1 actually). Toma would never be any bigger than a sidekick is he were put in NewS. It would still be Pi as the front runner, and Toma as the secondary guy who puts in little hilarious quips every once in a while in interviews. If this were true I am thinking that JE doesn't want him to become as popular as he can be. So that's why I think this isn't true for the moment, because he can make JE lots of money. Even though I love NewS and it would be great to have Toma in the group, I think it would be best for both Toma and NewS fans if he debuted as the leader of another group or as a duo or something (as mentioned) because having him "replace" someone itsn't right or fun, especially for the fans.

I LOVE Toma, and I hope people don't hate him because of this switch.
But If Toma joins then, I'm actually going to buy stuff from NewS, just because Toma is there ^_^;;

I know this late and all but.. I really can't imagine Toma in News, Toma's cute, funny and a good performer but his image doesn't fit news..for me that is. I really can't explain it.. And I'm just a new News fan, and I became a fan of news because of Ryo!!

wth?! i'll admit im a big news fan but my favorite thing about them isnt even their songs. its the way the members interact with each other. they've already been through so much and they come out of everything smiling and hoping for better. the six people who are in news right now have built up such a close relationship already especially since the suspensions. its not fair to them to break it up and stick someone completely new in there. the member ai would be totally disrupted.

its also totally unfair to toma because he deserves so much more, after waiting to debut for like forever. he shouldnt just be a replacement because not only is that degrading for him, it might also mean the loss of potential fans in only because he "broke up news"
