Sho : umbrella
Ohno : 8 shaped eyebrows
Jun : Devil Jun
Nino : Monk
Aiba : Hiragana

there are stories about these.

if you've been an arashi fan for a bit you know that sho was very ... temperamental when he was a jr & when arashi just began. although temperamental could be an understatement. there are a few hardcore stories about sho's temper. the famous one is when some fan was secretly taking pictures of sho on the train platform and got caught. he stormed up to her and grabbed her camera and THREW it onto the train tracks. another time there were oriki (hardcore stalker like fans) that were outside the jimushou and they were yelling how awesome sho was, and suddenly sho shoves his head out and an ashtray comes flying out the 2nd floor window.

the main reasoning was because as the "keio boy" sho had a lot of pride not to mention one of his biggest pet peeves is causing nuisance onto others because of him. so when the fans would cause a commotion in public places he would get extremely mad. when sho was a junior the fans nicknamed him "kasa." kasa means umbrella. the reason for this is because he would carry around one of those long stiff umbrellas. he was often seen with that umbrella and he would use it to twirl it around and wave it around to get the fans away from him. he also used the umbrella to hit a fan that unreachable if they were taking pictures of him. because sho was seen with his "kasa" so many times the fans nicknamed him "kasa." (he never carried it on rainy days though...O_O)

aiba's is hilarious. when your a junior the fans are allowed to directly hand you letters. there are also times when the juniors would actually write you back. the reason the fans nicknamed aiba "hiragana" is because whenever he would reply to his fanletters, EVERYTHING would be in hiragana. haha... no kanji just straight up hiragana.

ohno's is because he was always cringing. so his eyebrows made an 8 shape. you write 8 in kanji like so... 八

jun's ... self explanatory.

nino's ... is bc of his hairstyle that people said he looked like a Buddhist monk

Oh Wow! THis post is very interesting! What Sho did was kind of mean~but funny how it's an opposite from the story that he held a fan's hand in an airport. Everyone's story of nickname was funny, but you can you give an example of MatsuJun's Devil nickname (he's not mean or anything, right?)? I heard he's sadism, but I chose not to believe it until there's a confirmation (>_<). i watched him on Gokusen interview and he quickly pushed the interviewer's hand away while she was trying to feel his hair, I thought he was just kidding, or is he not?

Yes.. Nino even used to fear Sho, and Nino once said that the first scolding he ever got from a senpai was from Sho. XDDDDD

I used to think that Jun's Do-Sness only came out in the latter years of Arashi? But even in their jr days? haha.
