SMOKING!

Comments

... everytime someone goes the ominous sound of "DUN DUN DUN" i wonder if they are referring to me.

Seems my name will always be associated to all the "eerie" or 'bad" news XD

I agree with you in that some fan girls take it to the limit where they degrade their own idols for doing certain things like smoking. I hate that as well. I mean, I knew about Aiba before he quit smoking & I was still a big fan of him. Smoking didn't make him any less of a person, it just made me worry about him, cause I don like seeing him - or anyone sick. So yeah I agree with that.

About fangirling & thinking that they're going to marry their idols...haha i agree with you there as well, in that we can't have unrealistic hopes. Even if we were ultra-pretty & hot idol looking girls ourselves, you still can't hope to be in a relationship with them, however, just because you're good looking. I think you have to be in a position where you don't overcrowd the idol, & they meet you as a person, & not as a fan, which is how they come across some of their more serious girlfriends perhaps. Even if you weren't so good looking, but by some chance you & your idol got together, I think that would be ok. But you can't go on hoping & thinking that they're specially reserved for you. Imagine if you were an idol (just imagine) & you had people who you didn't particularly know claiming you to be their one & only love & act as if they are the only one for you, wouldn't you be pissed off too?

So yeah...i totally agree with you. & dunadan...lol ur name does sound like the DUN DUN DUN but I hope she wasn't referring to you lol

To treat their idols as their properties, some fans do just that. It can get very irritating.
Things like smoking and drinking and so... some fans seem to forget that their idols are also normal humans. Also, nearly everyone in Japan smoke, esp for the guys. It's already in their culture or something. They have their choices and they don't really have to answer to the fans for things like these (It's their personal lives). It's bad but what can we do? We can only hope they stop for the sake of their health. But like you said, it has nothing to do with the type of person they are.

I saw a photo of jun holding a cigarette in his hand, some time ago, and it annoyed me a little bit!!I'm against smoke for some personal reasons, but it doesn't mean that I don't like jun anymore, or that I don't respect him as a person and a singer like I did before, I just would like him, and Nino too, to stop, just for their health!!But then, if they want to go on, what can I do???it's their life, it's their choice and I have no right to judge them bad just for this!!! I'm glad that Aiba-chan stopped, after that big problem he had with his lungs!!good boy, aiba-chan :-D

about marrying an idol...ah ah ah!!!how can they seriously think they can have a chance???baaaaaaaaka!!!it would be wonderful, of course, who wouldn't like to get married to jun, or sho, or takki???but, man...be a little realistic!!in addition, I live thousands of km away from japan, it's hard to buy a cd here, how could I think I can even meet one of them?? :-D

lol good point.

Also, most people don't take into account that they can't speak the same language - & even if they can, it's quite hard for foreigners to connect with people from other cultures just for the sake of meeting an idol. It's like forcing another culture into your being, which ends up not feeling natural & very shallow. I mean, I still want to learn Japanese so I can speak fluently, but that doesn't necessarily make me eligible to get together with any of my idols! I mean, people who can already speak the language have a hard time, let alone foreign fans. But I laugh at the over-possessive fans who think they can marry an idol (& no one else can) & not speak the language, not know anything about the culture, & barely know the person. That annoys me silly -_-" gomen this subject is so...annoying for me...not because u brought it up, but because i get reminded of how stupid some fans can get. At least most fans aren't like that.

WHAAAAAAT NO WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT I AM TOTALLY MARRYING AN IDOL AND IDOLS ARE SUPERHUMAN AND PERFECT THIS ENTRY IS NONSENSE :(

.. yeah, unrealistic fans bother me as well. XD

The unrealistic fans who want to marry their idols dont bother me... because i believe deep down inside my fangirl mind... I'd like that to happen to me too!!!! XD haha~ Those fans who claim their idols as theirs... get all worked up when the idols does stuff they're not pleased are still ok... But i dont like those fans who get too involved in their fangirling that they overlook the idols private lives like stalking them all the way to where they live, trailing them in cars...ending up getting the idols into an accident...><[it happened before deshou?] Those fans seem to forget that our idols do need rest from all the celebrity status once in awhile and it'd be good to respect that even if it means having a girlfriend.

At least unrealistic fans do lesser "damage". The most we get is a super dazed expression in the midst of lessons or at work. XD ha~

there are fans who do "wish" they'll be married but is realistic enough to know it won't happen. Fangirls who want to marry their idols don't bother me cause frankly speaking, I'm one of those too, but, is sane enough to know it won't happen. How can I marry someone who's a 75% stranger to me? And speaking of that, fans who follows them and make smoking a big fuzz is something very, unlogical. I don't know why they make a big deal of it. It's their lives and lungs after all.

i think there's a difference between thinkign "oh it would be nice to marry so and so member" with "im going to marry so and so member! I AM GOING TO MARRY HIM!" there's a difference between those that can and cannot differentiate reality and what im talking about are those that cannot. :)
Well, the reason why I get disappointed when I see artists I like smoking is because I always hope that they'll realize smoking can ruin their voices. -_- It's not that they "level down" when I see them smoking. It's just that I want them to stay healthy and keep their beautiful voices. >< ::sigh:: But that's what they've chosen, so I'll accept it. ^_^
oh.... smoking is never a problem to me... coz I was surrounding by heavy smoker since i was born... in my country... family.. it is " normal" behavior... it confused me a bit when someone " teach " me smoking is no good for your health.. I am thinking .. " is that true " ?
Idol is just human being... of course they can smoke if they like to ... both in private or public...
oh.. i never have " marry the idol " in my mind... first of all, i think the chance is harder than winning the lottery..
secondly.. I like to keep the " idol image" of them in mind... so my thinking can go " wild"
for myself... the excitement of a fangirl will keep it on, if I am unable to meet them in real life... ( crazy me )
thanks for everyone to share their thoughts... i enjoy reading those comments..
